VANGUARD PLAYHOUSE
announces that Tuesday is the
final registration day for the
first course of its Theater Arts
Workshop for Children -and
Teens, 7 to 16. For information,

Of special interest to tourists,
both cross country and in the
Great Lakes area, are the
special auto transport facilities
of the S. S. Aquarama, the
multi-million dollar luxury pas-
senger liner which makes daily
round trips between Detroit
and Cleveland during the sum-
mer months. In 1960, regular
service will begin July 1 and
continue through Labor Day,
Sept. 5.
The motorist approaches the
ship up special ramps, and
enters through automatic push
button controlled doors in the
side of the vessel. Once parked,
it's but a step to the ship's
elevators which take passengers
up to any of the fun decks.
Car protection devices include
an automatic smoke detection
system, automatic sprinklers
and a lighted flasher traffic
control.
The traveler saves about 180
miles of city and highway driv-
ing when using the auto trans-
port accommodations.
The nine-deck, all steel Aqua-
rama, largest passenger vessel
ever to operate on the Great
Lakes, also embodies deluxe
passenger recreation facilities.
Escalators and elevators quick-
ly transport passengers from
one deck to another. There are
three dance floors, four restau-
rants, soda bars, a lounge, and
