Mrs. I. Jerome Hauser as President

Mrs. I. Jerome Hauser, who
has held numerous offices in
Detroit Hadassah, including the
executive vice presidency, was
elected president of Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah and was
installed into office at a lunch-
eon meeting at the Town and
Country Club, on Tuesday.

Moshe Gat Exhibition Opens at Cafe Galerie

An exhibition of woodcuts,
etchings and lithographs by
prominent Israeli artist, Moshe
Gat, is currently being shown
at Cafe G-alerie, 19940 Liver-
nois.
There are 22 works in the
exhibit, which includes some of
Gat's finest works. The show

The Haifa-born artist, who
studied in Israel, Paris, Italy
and Mexico, has exhibited ex-
tensively, especially in Israel
and Mexico, where he is repre-
sented in the permanent collec-

MRS. WILLIAM B. ISENBERG

Medical Center, was honored by
having her name inscribed on
the Wall of Healing in Jerusa-
lem.
The honor was extended to
her as a surprise tribute at the
annual meeting of Detroit Chap-
ter of Hadassah, at the Town
and 'Country Club, Tuesday.

The presentation of the
testimonial was made by Mrs.
Morse Saulson, under whose
presidency Mrs. Isenberg first
was named chairman of the
Medical Center project. Since
then, Mrs. Isenberg has di-
rected her committee's activi-
ties and has raised in excess
of $200,000.

Mrs. William J. Hubert, elect-
ed this week as vice-president
of membership for the Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah, has called
a pep rally for 12:30 p.m.,
Thursday, at Hadassah House,
in connection with the group's
"May membership enrollment
month campaign."
All group membership vice-
presidents, chairmen and work-
ers are invited to attend. Mrs.
Morris Adler, wife of Rabbi
Adler, of Cong. Shaarey Zedek,
will be guest speaker.
Assisting Mrs. Hubert during
the membership drive are Mes-
dames Joseph Ravit, Jack Boxer
and Harry Talbott and the fol-
lowing group membership vice-

One of the projects under-
taken under Mrs. Isenberg's
leadership was the Dora Ehrlich
Surgical Center, in honor of
Mrs. J. H. Ehrlich, one of the
Hadassah pioneers.
Another accomplishment of
her committee was setting up of
the Detroit Orthopedic Wing at
the Hadassah-Hebrew Univer-
sity Medical Center.
Mrs. Isenberg served as presi-
dent of Detroit Hadassah from
1953 to 1956. She has been ac-
tive in local Zionist Council af-
fairs, in the Women's Divisions
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion and the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign and other important Jew-
ish and civic movements.
Lending assistance to Mrs.
Isenberg in her dedicated work
for the medical center were
Mesdames Joseph H. Ehrlich,
Max R. Frank, Ralph Davidson,
Morse Saulson, Philip Lipson,
Philip Broudo, Benjamin Bond
and Herman Cohen.
