Mr. and Mrs. Eli Castleman and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney S.
Wigler, of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Winnick, of Birming-
ham, are among the participants in the Women's American ORT
Caravan, which left New York May 1 for Europe, North Africa
and the Middle East. The group will spend 35 days touring
Israel, Tunisia, Morocco, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, visiting
some 20 ORT schools, including the Aron Syngalowski Center
near Tel Aviv, the largest vocational training school in the
Middle East, which was built by ORT.
Mrs. Herman H. Stark, of 19169 Ilene, is celebrating her
65th birthday today, while vacationing at Denver, Colo.
Mr . and Mrs. Ben Kaplan, of Woodingham Dr., have
returned home from Miami Beach, Fla., where they spent the
winter months.
Dr. Alvin M. Ring, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ring, of Snow-
den Ave., has left for a six-week tour of Europe, during which he
will attend a medical convention in London, England. On return-
ing to this country, he will practice at Michael Reese Hospital in
Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. Lena Techner, for many years president of the Detroit
Senior Bicur Cholem Society. has left for Los Angeles, Calif.,
where she will spend several months with her children.
Mrs. Edward Wishnetsky, of Manor Ave., will be hostess at
an informal tea on Thursday afternoon honoring Lt. Gov. John
B. Swainson. The party is one of a series of such events for Mr.
Swainson, a leading Democratic gubernatorial candidate.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Borsand, of 17218 Cherrylawn, announce
the graduation, on June 3, of their son, Donald Martin Borsand,
from the Illinois College of Optometry. Mr. Borsand also holds a
BA degree, which he received in 1957 from Wayne State Uni-
versity.
Mrs. William H. Frank, of 18426 Wildemere, served last
week as chairman for a tea given by the United Foundation at
the St. Francis Orphan Home. Assisting her at the tea, one of a
series given by the United Foundation to acquaint citizens with
the service available as a result of their participation in the an-
nual Torch Drive, were Mrs. James H. Wineman, of 17176 Fair-
way; and Mrs. Louis Fisher, of 19976 Briarcliff.

Frohinan Chorus
Concert Sunday

The annual concert of the
Dan Frohman Chorus will be
presented at 8:30 p.m., Sunday,
in the auditorium of Mumfard
High School.
Frohman, who conducts the
Chorus, has prepared a varied
program of Yiddish, English
and modern
Israeli ballads,
Negro spiri-
tuals and ex-
cerpts fro m
operas, operet-
tas and orato-
rios.
Assisting
the Chorus
will be Rebec-
ca Frohman
a n d Marian
Frohman
Hahn, duo-pianists, who will be
heard in a program of works by
Bach, Rachmaninoff and Mil-
haud.
Ten vocal soloists will divide
the individual solos, operatic
duets and solo with the chorus.
Bella Goldberg will be at the
piano.
Tickets are still available, and

will be sold at the box office
the evening of the concert.

Beth Aaron Men's Club
Elects Meyer Millman

Meyer Millman, who served
for two years as vice-president
of the Beth Aaron Men's Club,
was recently elected to the
office of president, succeeding
Jerome Silberman in office.
Serving with Millman will be
Arthur Faber and Allen Rosen-
berg, vice-presidents; Ben Z.
Freeman, treasurer; and Hyman
Zalenko, Samuel Lankin, Eman-
uel Greenlick and Sherman Pon
yin, secretaries.
Members of the board of di-
rectors include Abe Halem,
Maynard Feldman, Joseph Med-
wed, Abe Meral, Sam Molitz,
Albert Porvin, Aaron Rosen,
Thomas Hannis, Mark Weitz
and Philip Wuntner.
New officers and board mem-
bers and 10 additional members
of the board to be appointed
by the president will be in-
stalled at a breakfast on May
22.

Judge Baum to Address
New Radom Mutual Group

Judge Victor Baum will dis-
cuss the "International Refugee
Year" at a meeting of the new-
ly formed Radom Mutual Soci-
ety of Detroit at 8:30 p.m., Sun-
day, in room 111 of the Hayim
Greenberg Center.

Israel's 12th anniversary will
be celebrated at a joint event
of Radomer Aid Society and
Auxiliary at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday,
at the Workmen's Circle Cen-

nounces S. H. Rubin and W.
Finkelstein, president and vice-
president, respectively, of the
society.
One of the oldest members
