Two spacious face brick models are now being featured
by Simons-Mony Bldg. Co. in scenic Forest Park, located in
Farmington Township. At the left is the three bedroom, bath-
and-a-half "Carousel," while at the right is the "42 1 /2," so
named because it has four bedroorris and two-and-a-half baths
in its total floor area of 1,430 feet. The bottom photo shows
the unusually large and functional kitchen of the "421/2".
Included in the purchase price are built-in oven and range,
custom lighting fixtures and self-storing aluminum storms and

2 New Simons-Mony Models Open
in Farmington's Scenic Forest Park

For the second time in three
weeks, Simons-Mony Bldg. Co.
has opened a residential devel-
opment with private swimming
pool and recreational privileges
for home buyers. The new loca-
tion is in scenic Forest Park,
a subdivision in Farmington
Township, where Simons-Mony
is presenting new versions of
its roomy "421 /2" and Carousel
-models.
The models are open at
W. 9 Mile Rd., just west of
Inkster Rd. Priced at $19,990.
the "42 1 /2" offers four large bed-
rooms with two and a half baths
in a total floor area of 1,430
square feet. The Carousel, fea-
turing three bedrooms with bath
and a half, is priced at $17,990.
Included in the purchase
price of both models are built-in
range and oven, self - storing
aluminum storms and screens,
gas • heat, custom lighting fix-
tures, quiet switches and copper
plumbing. Both homes are avail-
able in a variety of face brick
exterior designs with ranch
stone trim.
/In addition to the modern

fenced-in swimming pool, the
Forest Park recreation facilities
include a bath house, children's
sprinkle pool and courts for
badminton, volleyball, shuffle-
board and .horseshoes.
Natural mahogany kitchen
cabinets in both models are un-
usually spacious. There is a
double-sized window over the
twin-compartment sink with gar-
bage disposer. A special finish
copper tile backsplash protects
the wall over the range and
under the illuminated copper
tone hood with vent fan. Four
separate lights have been pro-
vided in the kitchen area.
Built-in shoe racks have been
provided in the extra large
wardrobe closets in both .the
"42 1 /2" and "Carousel." There
are two double-sized linen clos-
ets in the by-pass hall of the
"42 1 /2." These and the extra-
large vestibule guest closet are
equipped with folding birch
doors.
Other Simons-Mony models
are open in Livonia at Five
Mile Rd., west of Newburgh,
and, in Warren, at 11 Mile be-
tween Hoover and Schoenherr.

Julius Deutelbaum, Former Labor
News Editor, BB Leader, Dies at 75

Julius Deutelbaum, one of
Michigan's
outstanding Bnai
,
ith leaders until a decade
go when he settled in Los
Angeles
Angeles with his wife, died in
Los Angeles early Monday
morning after an illness of
several months. He was 75 last
June.
Funeral services were held
in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Surviving him are his wife,
Florence; two sons, Joseph E.
and Elmer; a daughter, Mrs.
Henry Hirsch; three grandchil-
dren, a sister and several nieces
and nephews.

One of Bnai Brith's ablest
orators, Deutelbaum was presi-
dent of Pisgah Lodge here for
four terms. He participated in
all important Bnai Brith proj-
ects for mare than 25 years
and • his advice was always
sought whenever major deci-
sions were to be made affect-
ing the organization's policies.
Deutelbaum gained popu-
larity also as editor for many
years of the Detroit Labor
Federation's official organ,
the Labor News.
He took a deep interest in
all local communal undertak-
ings and upon settling in Los
Angeles continued his interest
in Bnai Brith and other Jew-
ish communal activities.
Mr. and Mrs. Deutelbaum
marked their golden wedding
anniversary in April, 1957.

in the family residence at 1013
N. LaJolla Ave., Los Angeles

Councilettes' Annual Dance
to Be 'Rhapsody in Red'

"Rhapsody in' Red," the Coun-
cilettes' annual semi-formal
dance, will ,be held from 8:30
p.m. to 12 midnight, Nov. 28,
at the Lee Plaza Hotel. The

A bus tour of Federation
agencies has been arranged for
women living in the Hunting-
ton Woods area by the Women's
Division of the Jewish Welfare
Federation.
The women will meet at 9:50
a.m., Wednesday, at the Ten
Mile Branch Jewish Community
Center, for a bus tour of the
new Jewish Center, Sinai Hos-
pital and the Home for Aged.
Mrs. Morris J. Brandwine will
give an explanation of each
agency and its role in the Jew-
ish community. Mrs. Merle
Harris is bus tour chairman for
the day, and Mrs. Sidney Hertz
is co-chairman. Tour committee
members include Mesdames
Herbert Aronsson, Albert E.
Cole, Phillip Hertz, Seymour R.
Jones, Sidney Katzman and Nor-
man Klein. Mrs. Milton Sims is
chairman of the Women's- Di-
vision bus tour committee.
