Krieger has been selected as
alternate on the United States
team in the Pan-American com-
petition Aug. 27 to Sept. 7, in
Chicago.
National championships were
held at the Pan-American trials
in Los Angeles. Krieger placed
sixth in foil, giving him an al-
ternate berth on the team.
Krieger won two first places
in foil and saber when he par-
ticipated in the Pan-American
contest in Buenos Aires. in
1951. Also on the 1952 and 1956
Olympic teams, Krieger is the
present Midwest champion in
foil. individual.
The Chicago Pan-American
finals are the first to be held in
this country in many years.
