Mrs. Sarah Faber, 18420

at the age of 92. Although she
had been blind for a number
of years, Mrs. Faber was known
throughout the community for
her devotion to many causes.

Benjamin Brody, Windsor
businessman and civic and com-
munal leader, died Jan. 11 fol-
lowing a three-month illness.
Ee had resided at 1306 Victo-
ria, Windsor.
Services and interment were
in Detroit, from the Ira Kauf-
man Chapel.
President and co-founder of
the furniture firm of Baum and
Brody, Mr. Brody came to
Windsor 55 years ago from To-
ronto. He was born in Austria.
He was an active member of
the Rotary Club and an impor-
tant figure in the Windsor Jew-
ish Community Council. He also
was a member of Cong. Shaar
Hashomayim and Windsor Bnai
Brith.
He leaves his wife, Lillian;
a son, Lewis D.; a daughter,
Mrs. Abe A. Schmier, of De-
troit; his stepmother, Mrs. Han-
nah Brody, of Toronto; four
brothers, three sisters, five
grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or other
considerations, the family is
asking that remembrances be
made as a donation to the new
Windsor Jewish Community
Center on Ouellette Ave.

Harry Bloomberg Dies at 87
Harry M. Bloomberg, of Flint,
died last week at the age of
87. A Flint resident for 50
years, Mr. Bloomberg was a
shoe merchant there. He was a
member of Bnai Brith and the
Elks.
He is survived by three sons,
Louis, Samuel and Morris; three
daughters, Mrs. Zelma Fiven-
son, Mrs. Helen Mulne and Mrs.
Ruth Davis. Services were in
Flint.
