Prof. Levin Reviews
Educational Process
in Magazine Article

The December 1958 issue of
The Social Studies, published
in Philadelphia, contains an
important article by Prof. Sam-
uel M. Levin on educational
philosophy and practice, en-
titled "Ideas and the Educa-
tional Process."
The author, after a critical
review of American education-
al practice, underscores the
need for a more vital role for
the scholastically superior ele-
ments of the pOpulation and
recourse to new and creative
ideas as a. pedagogical term of
reference.
He concludes with a ten
point program for the imple-
mentation of the proposed plan
in the economic field.
