ish Congregation will join Adas
Conservative synagogue.
The Institute, which will con-
tinue for 20 consecutive Tues-
day evenings, will provide for
adults the opportunity for or-
ganized and regular study.
Under the general theme,
"You and the Jewish Heritage,"
the curriculum includes classes
in reading the Siddur, and a
series of graded courses in
Hebrew as a living language.
The faculty of the Hebrew de-
nartment include Mrs. Abraham
S. Abraham, Mrs. Harold J.
Goodman, Alex Roberg and
Samuel Sigal.

A 22-year-old Detroiter, who
studied for many years at the
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah, has
received semicha from the Beth
Midrash Elyon, noted Jewish
educational center in Spring
Valley, N. Y.
Newly-ordained is Rabbi Jo-
seph Sitorsky, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Abe Sitorsky, of 3737 Rich-
ton. He plans to continue on at
the Spring Valley institution as
a teacher.
Following his graduation
from the Yeshivah here. Rabbi
Sitorsky studied at the Mesivta
Torah Vodaat, in Brooklyn,
N.Y., before going to the semi-
nary.
During the summer months,
Rabbi Sitorsky used to drive a
bus for the Yeshivah Day Camp
here in order to finance his
studies.

luncheon of the Women's Miz-
rachi-Sisters of Zion, Nov. 12,
and will participate in a recep-
tion meeting the same evening
at 8 o'clock, at Young Israel of
Northwest Detroit, 17376 Wy-
oming.
This is another, event ar-
ranged by the Detroit Mizrachi-
Hapoel Hamizrachi, in a series
of lectures in different parts of
the community.

Young Israel of Northwest De-
troit, announces that a commit-
tee, organized to assist him in
arranging this meeting, includes
