ticipation in the camp programs
of the Methodist Church of

Evergreen Cong. Sets
Fall Musical Production
Rehearsals are currently in
full swing for the presentation
of the Evergreen Jewish Con-
gregation's original musical
comedy, "Pardon Our Aster-
oids,' 'to be shown Nov. 4 and
5, at Mumford High School.
Openings for the chorus, un-
der the direction of Barbara
Herman, are currently being

Meeting for Thursday
Amateur Cantors Club will
hold its June meeting at 8
p.m., Thursday, at the home of
secretary-treasurer Harry Rat-

Kadans will speak on the "Life
and Works of Moses Maimo-
ni cl es."
Plans for expansion of the
club will be discussed. A

David to Install Brandwine;
Affiliate Groups Elect New Officers
Morris J. Brandwine will be
installed as president of Cong.
Bnai David at a program
planned for this Sunday evening,
in the social hall of the new
synagogue, 24350 Southfield.
Rabbi Hayim Donin, spiritual
leader of the congreation, will
also induct Mel Richman, vice-
president; Neil Kalef, secretary;
and Harry Koltonow, treasurer.
Serving one-year terms on the

Young Israel Center of Oak-
Woods - will culminate its cur-
rent fund-raising drive during
the weekend of July 11 to 13,
when Cantor Leibele Waldman
will officiate at sabbath serv-
ices and present a concert Sun-
day evening.

Suburban Democrats
Install Dr. Zackheim
Dr. Herschel Zackheim,
chairman, and other new offi-
cers of the Democratic Club of
Oak Park, Huntington Woods
and Pleasant Ridge, were in-
stalled by Mayor Donald Swan-
son of Southfield City, last
Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Faye Moskowitz, outgo-
ing chairman who had served
for two years, was presented
with a gold charm bracelet,
while Dr. Zackheim received a
gold-banded gavel, inscribed
with the names of the past
chairmen.
The evening's major speaker
was Thomas Quimby, Demo-
cratic national committeeman
from Michigan.

O-W Young Israel Sunday
Young Israel of Oak-Woods
will hold its second annual
picnic this Sunday, at Oak Park
Major Park, Church at North-
field.
The program, which will in-
clude games for all membei.s
of participating families, will
start at 11 a.m. There will be
refreshments and prizes.

ple Emanu-El, its Sisterhood
and Men's Club will be formally
installed at sabbath eve services
scheduled for 8:15 p.m., today.
