Announce Merger
Of Day Schools
Formal merger of the Hebrew
Community Day School with the
Suburban Hebrew Academy, op-
erated by the Beth Yehudah
Schools, was effected recently.
The school, organized early
last year for the purpose of
making Hebrew day school facil-
ities available in the suburban
communities, fused with the
Beth Yehudah system when it
was obvious there was a sim-
ilarity of puprose and a dupli-
cation of needs.
The entire assets of the He-
brew Community Day School,
consisting of several thousand
dollars, was given to the He-
brew Academy for use in the
newly-dedicated Peter and Pau-
line Goldstein Building.
The leadership of the original
school consisted of Rabbis Em-
anuel Applebaum, Hayim Donin,
Herbert Eskin and Samuel H.
Prero, Dr. L. Gardner, Mr. and
Mrs. David Dombey, S. Ribiat,
E. Teitz, S. Berris, T. Koenigs-
berg and C. Snow.
The school presently has as
its language of instruction, He-
brew, and aims at indoctrinat-
ing its students with a love for
and spiritual understanding of
Israel as the center of Jewish
culture and learning:
