Elect Satovsky
Honorary President

Abraham Satovsky, retiring
president of the National Feder-
ation of Jewish Men's Clubs,
was last week elected honorary
president of the conservative
movement's leading men's
group.
Detroiters I. Murray Jacobs
and Carl Schiller of Shaarey
Zedek and Benjamin Weiss of
Bnai Moshe were elected mem-
bers of the board of directors
of the national organization. -
Satovsky, treasurer of Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, Detroit, was
succeeded in the presidency by
Bernard Rackmil, of Cedarhurst,
Long Island, N. Y., at the 29th
annual convention at Concord
Hotel, Kiamesha Lake, N.Y.
The convention urged the U.
S. State Department to exert
its fullest influence in bringing
peace to the Middle East.
The NFJMC annual award for
distinguished service to the
American Jewish community
was presented to Philip M.
Klutznick, president of Bnai
Brith.

Shaarey Zedek to Honor Sonenklar on 25th Year with Congregation

A congregational dinner is

Zedek in honor of the 25th year
of service to the synagogue by

years, he was elected first can-
tor in Czernowitz, the capital
