iliary will present their annual
check to the Hebrew University
school of pharmacy in Jerusa-
lem at a dinner to be held Mon-
day evening, at Rainbow Ter-
race.
Bernard Breyer, president of
the Association; and _Mrs. Na-
than Schwartz, Auxiliary 'presi-
dent, will give the sum to Lu-
cian 0. Meysels, currently in
the United
States on a
research fel-
lowship at the
department of
Hebrew stu-
dies,. . Univer-
sity of Wis-
consin.
Meysels,
born in Vien-
na, came to
Palestine in
1938, served in the Royal Air
Force in World War II and the
Israeli Army during the Sinai
campaign.
An honor graduate of the
University of London, he is a
former news editor of Radio
Jerusalem, was a staff member
of the Jerusalem Post and has
served the Hebrew University
in its department of organiza-
tion and information since 1955.

Midrasha Students Talk
to Beth Aaron PTO
Beth Aaron PTO, United He-
brew Schools, will meet at 8:30
p.m., Tuesday, in the auditor-
ium, when Charlotte Hyams
and Joel Roth, students of the
Midrasha, will speak on "The
Study of Torah—Gateway to
Meaningful Jewish Living."
Teachers of the Hebrew
_classes will exhibit bulletin
boards showing the type of
work the children are doing
in class.
In celebration of Jewish Mu-
sic Month, the Hebrew school
choir will sing "Songs of the
Haggadah." Shimon Gewirtz,
music director at the United
Hebrew Schools,, will present
songs of Israel.
ROCHELLE 'TACHMAN
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Nachman
announce the engagement of
their daughter, Rochelle, to Da-
vid Elliot Caplan, son of Mrs.
Ruth Caplan, of Tyler Ave. and
the late Bernard D. Caplan.
The bride-elect is a junior at
Wayne State University where
she is affiliated with Delta Phi
Epsilon sorority.
Mr. Caplan is a student at
WSU school of law.
A June 29 wedding is'planned..
JWV Activities
On Sunday, • the veterans of
Ann Arbor Hospital will be
serviced by the CHARLES &
AARON KOGAN AUXILIARY
No. 510, JWV, it was announced
by the president, Rita Goyer.
A musical show will be pre-
sented. In addition to the en-
tertainers, a group of 16 Auxil-
iary volunteers, under the di-
rection of the chairman, Ann
Kretzmer, will serve refresh-
ments and distribute gifts to the
patients.

CHAPTER, Bnai Brith Girls,
held its annual installation of
officers ceremony last week, at
Kenwood Chop House, when the
following newly-elected officers
were inducted: Pat Krakow,
president; Katie Detach, vice-
president; Cheryl Bornstein and
Caryl Prujan, secretaries; San-
dra. Nucian, treasurer; Arlene
Miller, reporter; and Shirley
Batchko, sgt-at-arms. Gail Chi-
corel, social committee chair-
man, was mistress of ceremo-
nies, and Marilyn Weinburg,
Chapter adviser, was installing
officer. Plans are made for a
square dance Saturday, with
Israelettes Chapter of BBG and
Zussman Chapter, AZA.

Cellist Joseph Schuster
Slates Center Concert
Master cellist Joseph Schus-
ter will be featured soloist at
the Jewish Community Center
Symphony concert at 8:30 p.m.
March 24, at the Davison
branch. Schuster will perform
Haydn's Cello Concerto.
Also included on the program
will be Mendelssohn's Sympho-
ny No. 3 in A Minor and the
first American performance of
Suite No. 2 for Strings, based
on folk songs of Roger Vuatas.
The concert, conducted by
Julius Chajes, was originally
scheduled for March 25.
