During their years in Wind-
sor, the Cohens have become
known for their humanitarian
efforts to help other people.
Their home has always been a
welcome haven for rabbis and
other immigrants who have
come to Canada.
Mr. Cohen, president of Twin
Pine Dairy, in Windsor, is still
active in the business with his
sons, Abe and Sam. He still
manages spare time for many
charitable causes, and, with his
sons, is instrumental in building
the new Shaarey Zedek Syna-
gogue in Windsor.
Mrs. Cohen also is active in
many local causes, among them
the Mitrachi Organization and
the Ladies Auxiliary of Shaarey
Zedek,

occasion, the Cohens are asking
their family and friends to send
contributions to . their favorite
charities.
In addition to their seven
children, the couple also has 16
grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren,

When the Temple Israel
Men's Club planned its year's
program in September, a Civic
Night was scheduled as an
informative program and to
honor members who were in
public service.
The event gained impetus
and added stature when Mayor
Miriani recently appointed Na-
thaniel H. Goldstick, president
of Temple Israel, as Corpora-
tion Counsel of the City of
Detroit.
Civic Night developed into
a program honoring Goldstick,
and the new city attorney re-
ceived a plaque on that occa-
sion last Thursday, when well-
wishers and members of the
Men's Club joined city digni-
taries in saluting him. Mayor
Miriani also was given a plaque
for his years of civic service.
The Mayor, who was guest

Brandeis Women Set Book Review Tea

A book review tea, under

Mrs. Milton Rosenbaum, wife
of Rabbi Rosenbaum, of Temple
Emanu-El, will review Myron S.
Kaufman's novel, "Remember
Me to God."
The program is being ar-
ranged by Mrs. Norman Levey,

committee, which accepts con-
tributions of $1 to $500 or more
for books to be placed in the
Brandeis University library.
The library of the Waltham,
Mass., university is currently
under construction. When com-
pleted, the Women's Committee
seeks to stock its shelves with
600,000 volumes.
