The event gained impetus and added stature when Mayor Miriani recently appointed Na- thaniel H. Goldstick, president of Temple Israel, as Corpora- tion Counsel of the City of Detroit. Civic Night developed into a program honoring Goldstick, and the new city attorney re- ceived a plaque on that occa- sion last Thursday, when well- wishers and members of the Men's Club joined city digni- taries in saluting him. Mayor Miriani also was given a plaque for his years of civic service. The Mayor, who was guest speaker, was introduced by Julius Pliskow, the evening's chairman.
