Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Field and their children, Mr. and
Mrs. Franklin Siden, are leaving this week-end for Los Angeles,
to attend the wedding of their son and brother, Irwin Field, to
Miss Joanna Sinaiko, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Beverly Hills,
Calif., on Sept. 8.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Klempner_ recently celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary with their cPnildren and grandchildren, at
Rotunda Inn. Attending the festivities were Mr. and Mrs. David
Edelstein and Dolores, Dorothy Hartford and Ricki, Mr. and
Mrs. Julius Klempner and children, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Green-
berg and Barry. Pamela and Sheldon. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Blum
and Brenda and Cheryl, Mr. and Mrs. Benji Klempner and Mark,
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Knight and Sanford and Roger, Mr. and
Mrs. Sidney Taub and Alan and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Strasner.
Dr. and Mrs. William K. Hass and daughters, Carolyn Gail
and Wendy Ruth, former Detroiters, are residing temporarily
at Norfolk, Va., during Dr. Haas' tenure as neurologist at the
United States Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Va.
Miss Helen Selma Mendelson, of Woodingham Dr., a recent
graduate of the University of Michigan school of music, has
returned home and will resume her teaching of piano.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Howard, formerly of Ohio Ave., have
left for Europe, where, in Paris, they will join their daughter,
Sue, who has been studying for the past year at the• University
of Florence, in Italy, and touring the Scandinavian countries.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kaplan, of Woodingham Dr., and Mr. and
Mrs. Seymour D. Kaplan and family, also of Woodingham Dr.,
have returned home after vacationing at the Concord Hotel, in
the Catskills.
Mr. and Mrs. David Olshansky, of 2682 Cortland, celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary at a lawn party at the home of
, a daughter, and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bregman. of 21841
Kipling, Oak Park. Joining in the celebration were their other
children, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Olshansky, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Olshansky, Mesdames Louis Bregman, Philip Trubow, Meyer
Levin and Al Tennenhouse and Mr. and Mrs. David Olshansky,
their 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The Olshan-
skys, both born in Lachner, Minsk, have been Detroiters for 40
years and members of Cong. Shaarey Zion for 17 years. Mr.
Olshansky is second vice-president of the synagogue.
Mr. and Mrs. Sol Bloom, of 2937 Clements, will be honored
by their children on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniver-
sary on Wednesday. A family gathering is planned.
Dr. David Edgar has recently returned from France, where he
served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps.

Harold Noveck and her educa-
tion committee, will be the fol-
lowing:
Use of PW monthly Hebrew
memos as a guide to every-day
usage of the language; a more
intensive review of the Middle
East situation; a series of work-
shops on organizational prob-
lems; a new speaker's bureau;
expansion of monthly study
group meetings; consideration
of a book review group, and
organization of a Tuesday af-
ternoon class in elementary He-
brew, directed by Mrs. Norman
Leemon.
Mrs. Turner announced the
formation of an advisory board
of past presidents, including
Mesdames Norman Kanter, Ir-
ving Posner, Gerson I. Berris,
Michael Michlin, Irwin Berman,
David Sislin, Harry Kay and
Sarah Levine.
Two pilgrimage tours to Is-
rael during the Jewish State's
tenth anniversary are planned
under auspices of the Mizrachi
Women's Organization.
