Israeli workmen saw off a section of reinforced concrete

in 1958, the pipeline, which is being constructed with the
assistance of State of Israel Development Bond funds, will turn
50,000 acres of wasteland into fertile soil, and add $15,000,000
worth of crops to Israel's annual agricultural production. Israel
Bond investment capital is also being used to build several

area under irrigation from '72,000 acres to 300,000 acres.

Britain, Canada Working
on Plans for Polish Migrants

LONDON, (JTA)—The Home
Office has agreed to work out
technical details of the admis-
sion to Britain of relatives of
Polish Jews now living in this
country. The relatives, who have
applied for admission to Britain
to rejoin their families, are still
in Poland.
From Montreal it was report-
ed that Saul Hayes, executive
director of the Canadian Jewish
Congress, met in Ottawa with

Citizenship and Immigration, in-
cluding the Deputy Minister, to
finalize procedures for the ad-
