Dies in Cincinnati
Harry Fram, brother of Dr.
Leon Fram of Detroit's Temple
Israel, died in Cincinnati, 0., on
May 24.
News of his death had been
kept from Dr. Fram during his
recent trip to Germany and
until the conclusion of the con-
firmation season at Temple
Israel.
Mr. Fram, a Newport (Ky.)
merchant, resided in Cincinnati.
Funeral services were held on
May 26, with Rabbi Samuel
Wohl, of the Isaac M. Wise
Temple officiating.
Besides his brother, Mr. Frani
left his wife, Fanny; two sons,
Leonard and Mitchell; another
brother, Philip, of Montreal;
and a sister, Fanny, of Cincin-
nati.
Samuel Freedman Dies
Samuel Freedman, an active
member of several communal
organizations, died June 6. He
had resided at 19911 Sussex.
Services were at Ira Kaufman
Chapel.
A native of Russia, he -had
been a Detroiter for 45 years.
He was an employee of Abner
Wolf, Inc., wholesale grocers,
since its organization almost 30
years ago, and was sales super-
visor.
He was a charter member of
Beth Aaron Synagogue, a past

noble grand of Jericho Lodge,
IOOF, a member of the Anni-
versary Club and Brith Sholom,
secretary of Liberty Social Club
and a contributor to Grocers'
Spotlight.
Mr. Freedman is survived by
his wife, Rose; two daughters,
Mrs. Jerome Helfman and Mrs.
George Lipshaw; his mother,
Mrs. Edith Freedman; a brother,
a sister and five grandchildren.
