Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Olanshansky recently tendered a fare-
well brunch honoring their son, Wilburt, a June graduate of
Michigan State University's college of mechanical engineering,
who will leave after graduation to reside in Orlando, Fla.
On May 19, two Detroit brothers were reunited with a sister
from whom they had been separated for 37 years. The brothers,
Ben F. Goldman, of Greenlawn Ave., and Alex Goldman, of Webb
Ave., met their sister, Mrs. Chave Zollman, now a resident of
Petach Tikvah, Israel. The reunion was celebrated with a family
get-together at the home of Ben Goldman. Besides the brothers
and their wives, the party included Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gold-
man, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Golman, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gordon,
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Kass, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Klarman and
children, Dr. Robert T. Goldman and his fiancee, Elaine Goldrath,
and Mrs. Eva Weinberger. Mrs. Zollman, who had never seen ,
her brother Ben, last saw Alex when he was seven. She left June
2 to rejoin her husband and 10-year-old son at Petach Tikvah.
Mrs. Louis J. Gurwin, of Cloverlawn Ave., will give a
cocktail party on Monday, honoring her niece, Marcia Gurevich,
a member of the 1957 graduating class at Michigan State Uni-
versity. Miss Gurevich is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Gurevich, of College Park, Md.
Prior to the marriage of Sylvia Joan Helfgott, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred A. Helfgott, and Allen William Gale, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Galemba, the bride was entertained at
showers by her aunt, Mrs. Harold A. Maxmen, his aunts, Mes-
dames Ervin Bunin, Ben Golden and Max Moses, her sister, Mrs.
Irving Maggin, Emily Schultz and Sharon Weinberg; at a brunch
by her cousin, Mrs. Nathan Maxman; at luncheon by his aunt,
Mrs. Abe Lewis.
Allan J. Roth, son of the Fred Roths, of Tyler Ave., will
leave Thursday by air for a two-week visit in Honolulu,
Hawaiian Islands.
A group of friends joined last week in extending greetings
to former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Henry M. Butzel on
his 86th birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davidson, of 15146 James, Oak Park,
announce the graduation of their daughter, Tobye Davidson Kaye,
from the University of Michigan school of education June 15.
Mrs. Kaye, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Pi Lambda
Theta honorary societies, is graduating cum laude and has been
elected to Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. The Davidsons, at the same
time, announce the graduation of their son-in-law, Dr. Ronald
L. Kaye from the U. of M. medical school, where he is a member
of Zeta Beta Tau and Phi Delta Epsilon fraternities. He will
intern at Sinai Hospital, Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brody, of 620 North Shore Dr., Miami
Beach, Fla., entertained recently at a luncheon in honor of their
daughter Brenda's 16th birthday. The party, held at the Foun-
tainebleau Hotel's Rosewood Room, was attended by 62 guests,
including several Detroiters. Among the latter group were
Brenda's paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eva Brody, Mrs. Samuel
Brody, Mrs. Robert Brody and Miss Judy Wolovits.

length gown of white Chantilly
lace that 'featured an illusion
yoke; Queen Anne collar and
bridal sleeves. The bouffant,
:scalloped, lace skirt reached
the hemline in the back over
nylon tulle. Her two-tiered veil
of illusion fell to fingertip
length, and was held in place
by a cap studded with sequins
and pearls. She carried a bou-
quet of white orchids and steph-
anotis on the white Bible which
she received as a confirmand.
