planned by Nathalie Heller and
Dr. David Zeff. The bride-elect
is the daughter of Mrs. Samuel
E. Heller and the late Mr.
Heller. Her fiance is the sbn of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zeff.
Both Miss Heller and Dr.
Zeff are graduates of the Uni-
versity- of Michigan.

to Close Regular Season

making arrangements for the annual Jefferson-Jackson- Day
ReCeption, to be held at 3 p.m., May 18, in the Crystal Ballroom
of Masonic Temple, are Mesdames John Schneider, 18515 Wood-
ingham; David Greenspan, 20450 Cheyenne; Alfred Meyers, 16809
Sussex; Victor J. Baum, 19340 Pinehurst; Stanley Salamon, 4341
Glendale; and Nathan Grundstein, 826 Longfellow. Mrs. Nancy
Williams, wife of the Governor, is chairman of the hosts and
hostesses. Sen.-. Wayne Morse will be principal speaker.
Mr. Leonard N. Simons, past' president of Temple Beth El,
was elected a member of the board of trustees of the Union of
American Hebrew Congregations at the 44th biennial convention
of the Reform organization in Toronto. Mrs. Sanford R. Klein,
a past president of the Beth El Sisterhood, was elected to the
board of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods. It was
the 21st biennial convention of NFTS, and was also held in
Toronto.
Mrs. Sarah Novograd returned recently to her home on Park
Ave., Oak Park after vacationing for a month in Miami Beach,
Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman H. Stark, of 19169 Ilene, will leave May
17 aboard the SS United States for a visit of a few months in
Europe.
MisS Marilyn Forman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney
Forman, of 19314 Stansbury, was recently tendered a sweet six-
teen luncheon by her parents at Menjo's. There were 75 guests
who helped Marilyn celebrate the occasion.
• Mr. Elliot Fisher, of 19303 Indiana, will leave today for an
extended tour of Europe and the Bahama Islands.
Mrs. Abe Gordon, of 4023 Waverly, was honored at a May
Day. Tea for Volunteers in the Detroit Red Cross Canteen Service.
Mrs. Gordon was presented with a pin denoting five years of
service to the organization.
Ensign James Arthur Hack was commissioned in the United
States Navy upon his graduation from the Officer Candidate
School at Newport, R.I., May 3. Ensign Hack is the son of Lt.
Col. and Mrs. Morton .Hack and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Nathan Hack. He is a 1956 graduate of the University of IvIichi-
gan, where he was affiliated with Tau Delta Phi Fraternity.
Mrs. Rose Rosenblatt, of 18714 Greenlawn, has left for a
visit o Los Angeles, where she will be the guest of her sister
and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goldstein.
