multaneous exhibition match at
2:30 p.m., April 14, at the D. W.
Simons branch, 4000 Tuxedo,
when Ukranian-born grandmas-
ter Stephen Popel . will meet all,
challengers.
The international grandmas-
ter, now a resident of Detroit,
was at one time France's high-
est rated player. His tourna-
ment, successes include a 1955
Paris championship and the 1955
British Open Championship, in
which he took first prizes.

BB Youth Offered
Summer Tour of Israel
A three-day stopover in Paris,
a tour through Israeli cities,

then life in a kibbutz are in
store for Bnai Brith Youth Or-
ganization members, gaged 15
to 19, who will take a BB-spon-
sored seven week tour of Israel,
beginning July 7. After sight-
seeing trips from Dan to Elath,
during which they will meet
and talk with Israeli leaders,
the youth will work and live
at Moledeth-Bnai Brith, argri-
cultural settlement founded by
BB in 1936.
Cost of the trip will be $795,
about half the regular cost of
similar' study, tours. Further in-

ing will occur only in the spring.

orary, initiated Suzanne Cohen,
Denny Sussman, Lorraine Small,
Barbara Alexander of Flint, and
Ann Arborite Gloria Green.

Hunt," which most are still puz-

orful and very subtle features

body.
This year for the first time,
the seniors are sponsoring a
song-writing contest for an alma
mater, as well as a senior "pep"
song. The deadline is next week,
and many original tunes, as well
as lyrics, are anticipated.
Last Thursday, Mumford's
track team defeated by a wide
margin the Chadsey team with
Ken Burnley, a promising fresh-
man, placing first in two events
and participating on the winning
half-mile relay team. The next
team the Mustangs will meet is
Cooley High.
The girls' tennis, boys' tennis
and baseball teams have all
commenced their spring train-
ing programs,. although all three
have their first events sched-
uled a few weeks away.
