A much-relieved student body
celebrates Thanksgiving this
year as their mid-term exami-
nations were finished. They bore
in mind the inspiring show that
was put On at an assembly
Wednesday to commemorate
Thanksgiving. This` was the
product of the Hi-Y and the
Broadcasters Guild.
The Mumford marching band
made school history yesterday
as they were a part of the an-
nual Hudson Thanksgiving pa-
rade downtown. This is the first
time the band has performed
besides football games.
The Student Council urges
you to keep in mind the date
of Dec. 7, when the "Snowball"
will take place at Veterans Me-
morial, in the beautiful n e w
civic center downtown.
The Council is working on a
seasonal pass for various sports,
as well as a student-faculty
basketball game.
Needy families of Detroit
were happy this Thanksgiving,
as the Human Relations Club
had once again held a canned
goods drive. They yearly do-
nate these cans to deserving
families. -
Calling all high brows, low
brows, and music lovers! Don't
forget the Winter Concert, this
year to be held Dec. 6. The
orchestra, band, choral groups,
and dance band will be there
to entertain you with a great
variety of music.
Speaking of variety, the
Broadcasters Guild in coopera-
tion with the Council is now
in rehearsal of the Variety
Show to be presentd Jan. 10
and 11. All of the school's top
talent (and there is a lot of it!)
will be on stage to provide lots
of fun.
