Members of the Detroit Coun-
cil of Pioneer Women this week
intensified their fund-raising
efforts in preparation for their
forthcoming donor event at 8:30
p.m., Dec. 9, at Masonic Temple.
Mrs. Harry Mondry, vice-
president of funds, and her com-
mittee are aiming at a goal of
$75,000, part of the national
Pioneer Women's quota of $1,-
250,000. To date, Mrs. Mondry
states, the drive has raised
double the amount raised last
year at this time.
Heading the donor program
will be Col. Katriel P. Salmon,
military and naval attache to
the Israel Embassy in Washing-
ton..
Also --featured will be De-
troit soprano, Emma Schaver,
internationally known for her
