President
The Detroit Business Men's Group of the City of Hope, its officers, board
members and sponsors extends its most heart-felt thanks to Detroit's Jewry
who attended the Annual Champagne Dinner Dance Sunday, Nov. 4, at the
Sheraton Cadillac Hotel. We thank you for your splendid support—support
which makes it possible for the Medical Men of Research at the ten million
dollar National Medical Center at the City of Hope, Duarte, California, that
is FREE, NON-SECTARIAN and UNDER JEWISH AUSPICES, to carry on their
probings in their effort to find the cure for such catastrophic diseases as Can-
cer, leukemia, tuberculosis, heart ailment, Hodgkins disease, etc (with the Help
of God may it be soon) , ... support which makes the prolonging of a human
life a possibility . . . support which keeps a stricken person man, woman or
child, a little longer with loved ones.
We thank you in the name of those unfortunates who are hospitalized at
this haven of healing — truly a haven of hope — who's constant prayers to
God are for YOUR continued efforts and the hope that the Almighty provides
YOU with the where- with-all to carry on this GREAT HUMANITARIAN
cause for a good many years, so that YOUR children and your children's chil-
dren may come into and grow up in a better and healthier community.
When you are helping the City of Hope at Duarte, California, you are
helping YOUR OWN COMMUNITY — your own doctors to gain a greater
knowledge, a greater insight into the whys ands wherefores of catastrophic dis-
eases.
