Plans Second Annual
Leadership Institute

Planned for Feb. 10

The second annual Leader-
ship 'Institute of the Junior Di-
vision of the • Jewish Welfare
Federation, designed to stimu-
late the thinking of prospective
Jewish leaders about the com-
munity and to encourage their
participation in its affairs, will
begin Sunday.
Stephen Bromberg, leader-
ship institute chairman who
will preside at the first session,
states that four subsequent pro-
grams will follow. Over 40 Jun-
ior Division members are ex-
ected at Sunday's session, to
e held in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Seymour Frank.
Rabbi Morris Adler, a mem-
ber of the Board of Governors'
of Federation, will address the
meeting. The theme of the pro-
ram is "The Mosaic of Our
Jewish Community Life."
The discussion will encom-
pass the composition of the lo-
cal community, with emphasis
on its ethnic, cultural, religious
and philosophic groupings.
The remaining programs will
deal with "Jewish Community
Organization for Human Wel-
fare," "Israel Today," "The Re-
lationship of the Individual to
His Community" and "Dynam-
ics of Fund Raising."

institute committee are Harriet
Bergstein, Carol Bromberg, Je-
rome Halperin, Arlyne Koven,
Daniel Levin, Audrey Seligson,
Walter I. Shapero and Fred
Winkelman. William Wetsman
is Junior Division president.

The engagements of Sylvia Frommer and Alvin Eugene
Frommer, sister and brother, have been announced. They are
the children of Mr. Leo Frommer, of Los Angeles, Calif., and
the late Mrs. Esther Frommer.
Sylvia is to be married on Jan. 6 to Alvin Floyd Cohen,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Cohen,, also of Los Angeles.
Alvin's engagement to Adrienne Greenberg was announced
by her parents, Mr. and. Mrs. Ben Greenberg, of Turner Ave.
The couple will wed on Aug, 11. The Frommer family originally
was from Detroit.
