fund-raising project, will be of-
ficially launched at a dessert
luncheon meeting at 12:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, in Temple Israel.

Her topic will be an account of
the present crisis in the Middle
East and the role Hadassah is
playing to meet this crisis.
Currently national chairman
of the organization's American
affairs program, Mrs. Epstein
has traveled widely in the last
30 years in this country and
abroad to interpret to American

—the aims of Palestine and now
Israel.
Mrs. Epstein was a delegate
for Hadassah to the recent 24th
World Zionist Congress in Jeru-
salem. While in Israel, she sur-
veyed such Hadassah projects
as the Medical Center, Youth
Aliyah program, vocational edu-
cation activities, Hadassah Med-
ical Organization and Mother-
Child feeding stations.

chairman of Honor Roll general
solicitations is assisted by the

in singing the national anthems.
Mrs. Norman Rom, Chapter
president, has extended an in-

Honor Roll kick-off affair.

MRS. MORTON P. KNOPPER
In a double-ring ceremony on
Aug. 14, at Adas Shalom Syna-
gogue, Dorothy Barbara Kahl
and Morton Paul Knopper were
united in marriage by Rabbi
Jacob E. Segal.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kahl, of
Birwood Ave. Mr. Knopper's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. New-
man Harry Knopper, of Santa
Rosa Dr.
The bride's gown was of floor-
length silk taffeta, and extended
into a chapel train. It was high-
lighted by a sabrina neckline
of lace, embroidered with seed
pearls and iridescent sequins,
with matching lace at the waist.
Her two-tiered veil of silk
illusion fell from a cap of
matching lace, pearls and se-
quins, and she carried white
orchids and stephanotis on her
white, confirmation Bible.
Mrs. Richard Kahl, the bride's
sister-in-law, was her matron of
honor, and Barbara Littky was
maid of h o n o r. Bridesmaids
were Mrs. Stuart Graff, the
bridegroom's sister; Mrs. Daniel
Knopper, the bridegroom's sis-
ter-in-law; and Lillian Rosen-
bloom.
Daniel Knopper was his broth-
er's best man; and ushers were
Stuart Graff, his brother-in-
law; Richard Kahl, the bride's
brother; and William Sills.
After a motor trip through
Northern Michigan and Canada,
including a cruise on Georgian
Bay, the newlyweds will reside
in Des Moines, Ia., where both
are students.
Folk School Readies
for New Semester
Beginning the school year in
new quarters at the Labor Zion-
ist Institute, 19161 Schaefer, the
United Jewish Folk Schools is
currently conducting registra-
tion for the fall term.
The school will accommodate
nursery children, 31/2 to 5, and
grade school students, 7 to 14.
Using modern methods of teach-
ing, the school attempts to pro-
vide an understandable ap-
proach to education for the
American Jewish child.
Features of the school include
a special playground, play pe-
riod, bus transportation and an
active Parent-Teachers Associ-
ation.

Detroit Teacher Wins
MEd Degree at Miami
Marilyn S. Klein, daughter
of Mrs. R. W. Klein, of 18068
Wisconsin, recently received a
master of education degree
from the University of Miami,
Coral Gables, Fla.
Miss Klein, who holds a BA
from Wayne State University,
received credits for her MEd
in Miami's evening division
while on a sabbatical leave of
absence from the Detroit Board
of Education.
She will resume teaching this
fall when she will conduct
sixth grade classes at MacCul-
loch School. Miss Klein also
plans to work toward her doc-
torate at WSU.

the Council blood bank pro-
gram, stated that the bloodmo-
bile will be

midnight.
This will
mark the
30th blood-
mobile visit
sponsored by
the Council since November,
1949. In addition to other blood
deposited to other accounts,
Bnai Brith has accepted 6,100
pints for its own account.
Often times the blood is re-
leased for the armed forces, for
processing into plasma and for
the needs of others who are not
Bnai Brith members, Rappaport
said.
During the hours indicated,
Bnai Brith members will pro-
vide entertainment and refresh-
