HIGHLIGHT OF the third
anniversary celebration, in the
form of a membership lunch-
eon, Sept. 10, by Children Un-
limited, will be the appearance
of 5-year-old blind twins Patty -
and Sandy Penman, singing and
dancing as part of a rhythm
group made up of sightless
youngsters from the Penrichton
Nursery ...It was originally the
sad plight of Patty and Sandy
that moved Mrs. Lillian Ricker,
a T a ylo Township ,grand-
mother, to find an agency which
could assist such a stricken fam-
ily ...Failing in this search,
she and other women, and later,
diverse community groups
launched their unusual civic en-
deavor, with now over a dozen
organizations working for or
including in their programs,
some assistance for the nursery
...But the needs of a new nurs-
ery are great .. supplies, equip-
ment and just hard cash are all
still in short supply .. :Gloria
Schaefer is president of Child-
ren Unlimited, dedicated to fill-
ing this gap at the Penrickton
Nursery, only institution in
Wayne County offering train-
ing and care for sightless child-
ren of pre-school age ... Those
wishing to join in the work of
Children Unlimited, or desiring
to attend the luncheon may call
Gloria at KE 4-1371, or Phoebe
Sellins, membership chairman,
LI 7-4939.

dinner honoring both occasions
... It also marks the publication

"Without Rhyme or Reason," a
fabulous collection of music and
show business stories that will
