Senate Resolutions
Robinson-Smith Rites
Solemnized July 31
A resolution pending before
the United States Senate assert-
ing the right of U. S. citizens to
military duties in overseas
bases, regardless of religious
discriminations imposed by
these countries, was unanimous-
ly endorsed at the July meet-
ing of the Allied Veterans
Council.
The Senate resolution (SR
No. 298) states that any attempt
by foreign nations to create re-
ligious distinctions among U. S.
citizens "is repugnant to our
laws and intolerable to our
principles."
The AVC of Wayne County
is composed of delegates of the
local units of 23 national vet-
eran organizations, including
the Jewish War Veterans.
