of Glendale Ave., was joined in
marriage. June 10, to Emanuel
L. Stein, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jacob Stein, of S. Norfolk Ave.,
in a ceremony performed by
Rabbi Israel I. Halpern and
Cantor Shabtai Ackerman of
Beth Abraham Synagogue.
The bride chose an Italian.
silk gown with tucked bodice,
appliqued sleeves and a neck-
line of Alencon lace. Her
fingertip veil of illusion fell
from a crown of seed pearls,
and she carried a bouquet of
spray orchids.
Mrs. Sy Neuman, the bride's
sister, was matron of honor,
and bridesmaids were Mrs.
Harold Bobroff, Mrs. Morris
Bobroff, Mrs. Monte Gittleman,
of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Alvin
Stein. Elaine Bobroff, Janice
Bobroff, Marilyn Gittleman and
Marlene Neuman were junior
bridesmaids, and Linda Neu-
man was flower girl.
Alvin Stein, the bridegroom's
brother, was his best man, and
ushers included Harold Bobroff,
Morris Bobroff, Monte Gittle-
man, Sy Neuman, Jerry Bob-
roff and Norman Bobroff. Mark
Bobroff was ring bearer.
Following a honeymoon in
Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Stein
will reside on Glendale Ave.
Among the out-of-town guests
attending were Dr. and Mrs. A.
Applebaum, of Los Angeles.

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sid-
ney G. Sherman, of -'Birming-
ham, Mich., became 'the bride
of James Edward Labes, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Samson Labes,
of Chicago, Ill. Rabbi Morton
Goldberg, of Toledo, 0., offi-
ciated at the double-ring cere-
mony, held at the Sheraton-
Cadillac Hotel.
Attending the bride were
Mrs. Irwin Rosenbloom, of
Rochester, N. Y., as matron of
honor, and Constance Jackson,
of Miami Beach, Fla., as maid
Of honor.
Bridesmaids were Arlene
Fineman, Mrs. Donald Sofferin,
Marcia Sherman, of Bay City,
and Barbara Wolf, of Chicago.
Marvin Labes was his broth-
er's best man, and ushers were

Kivel, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Max Kivel, of Bayside, Long
Island, N.Y., in a. candlelight
ceremony performed June 16
at Bel-Aire Terrace. Rabbi
Moses Lehrman officiated.
The bride chose for her wed-
ding a gown of Italian, silk
taffeta, with fitted bodice ac-
cented with a portrait neckline
and tiny sleeves appliqued
with seed pearls and irrides-
cent sequins.
Motifs of Alencon lace were
appliqued throughout the skirt,
which fell into a chapel sweep.
Her silk illusion veil was se-
cured by a. crown of pearls
and iridescent sequins, and she
carried a white satin prayer-
book with white orchids and
cascading phaelanopsis orchids.
The bride's attendants were
Mrs. Peter De-Groot as matron
of honor, Judy Kessler, the
bride's sister, as maid of honor,
and Bonnie Kessler, another
sister, and Barbara Kivel, sis-
ter of the bridegroom, as
bridesmaids.
Jerry Galishoff, of New
York, was the bridegroom's
best man, and ushers were his
brother, Larry Kivel, and his
uncles, David and Joseph Ki-
vel, all of New York.
After a Florida honeymoon,
the couple will reside at Niag-
ara Falls for the balance of
the summer, before establish-
ing permanent residence in the
fall at Ames, Ia.
