State Sisterhoods Offer
Event for Youth Advisors

A workshop, sponsored by the
Michigan State Temple Sister-
hoods, will be held for youth
advisors of temple youth groups
on Wednesday and Thursday, at
Haven Hill Lodge, in the High-
land Recreation Area.-
Sessions swill include "What
Makes Teen-Agers Tick?,"
"Youth Speaks Its Mind,"-
"What's My Problem" "Planning
a Conclave" and "The Basic
Goals of a Youth Group."
Participants include Dr. Jos-
eph Fishoff, Detroit psychiatrist;
Rose Cohen, Lester Lunsky and
Judith Dickstein, youth leaders;
Eleanor Schwartz, associate di-
rector, National Federation of
Temple Youth; and Rabbi San-
ford Saperstein, spiritual leader
of Pontiac's Temple Beth Jacob.

With greater emphasis on en-
tertainment than ever before,
Omena Inn this summer will
present the most active vacation
program in its 12-year history,
according to plans revealed this
week by the Landis family,
owners of the popular Northern
Michigan resort.
The season, which opens on
June 22, will highlight several
full-length plays and musicals
featuring some of New York's
finest talent.
They will be produced by
actor -- director producer Ted
Berger in Omena's own play-
house. Berger is known for per-
formances on television's "Cap-
tain Video," "Studio One" and
"Man Against Crime."
Direct from 'Miami Beach's
Del Prado, Omena Inn has en-
gaged Latin dancers Reno and
Rita, who have played at the
Hollywood Palladium with such
bands as Ralph Flanagan,
Woody Herman and Les Brown.
Other social events will in- .
elude music and 'dancing each
night, Omena's customary mid-
night "nash" around the samo-
var, cocktail hour s, wienie
roasts, beach parties, games
nights and amateur and cabaret
nights.
Sports include swimming
from Omena's private beach on
Grand Traverse Bay, baseball,
handball, tennis, shuffleboard,
