Jewish.sculptor Completes Bust of Truman Report. Reveals ,
JNF's Holdings
NEW YORK (AJP)—Jewish sculptor Rene
Shapshak, whose stone, bronze, wood and can-
vas creations of Israeli scenes and landmarks
have won him many acclaims from critics, is
here seen putting the finishing touches to the
bust of Harry S. Truman which he completed
.during the latter's recent visit to New York.
The bust will stand in the Hall of Fame of the
Ben Yehudah National Hebrew Museum in
Jerusalem. Mr. Shapshak told the AJP cor-
respondent that he found it an inspiration to

State of Hesse has disbursed
$36,900,000 to Nazi victims for
indemnification payments since
the end of the war, the budget
committee of the Hesse Land-
