Shalom Synagoge and its affili-
ate groups on Sunday night.
The cantata, written by Jos-
eph Edelman, was a beautifully
prepared piece of _lyric prose,
ably set to music by Cantor
Nicholas Fenakel, of Adas Sha-
lom.
Rabbi Jacob E. Segal, who
introduced the cantata, sounded
its keynote when he said it
traces the ushering in of the
sabbath from the sun's going
down on Friday night to its
last rays on Saturday.
