A buffet supper honoring Michael David Heideman on his
Bar Mitzvah was given last Saturday evening, in Temple Israel,
by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Heideman, of Roselawn
Ave. Michael's Bar Mitzvah was observed earlier in the day,
at the temple.
Solomon Rubin, of Washburn Avenue, arrived in Israel
last week for a month's visit.
Isidor Becker, of Grand Avenue, flew to Tel Aviv this week
to attend his daughter's wedding at Kibbutz Urim, Negev.
Mr. and Mrs. Josef Ben-Azri, of Tel Aviv, are returning
home after a three-month visit in Detroit with Mrs. Sarah De-
Roven, of Kendall Avenue. The Ben Azris will depart aboard
the Queen Elizabeth on Feb. 17.
Jacob Bacow, of Vassar Drive, leaves for Europe and Israel
next week aboard the SS United States. Mr, Bacow will return
home after the Passover holidays aboard the Queen Mary.
Miss Shirley Stollman, of Leslie Avenue, left for Israel last
week aboard a KLM Royal Dutch Airliner.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lieber, of Chicago Blvd., will celebrate
their 50th wedding anniversary at a family dinner party this
Sunday.
Mr. Reubin Kaminsky, national commander of the Jewish
War Veterans, was in town this week, and was honored at a
cocktail party given by all veteran organizations of Wayne
County, in the Lee Plaza Hotel. Commander Kaminsky earlier
addressed informal gatherings of the Department of Michigan
JWV and its Ladies Auxiliary.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hacker and their mother, Mrs. Ann
Averbach, formerly of McQuade Avenue, are now residing in
their new home, 20151 Ardmore.
Mrs. Betty Lehrman, of 20019 Lichfield, is now visiting with
her daughter, and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Atkins,
(Charlotte Lehrman) and grandson, Danny, at Monterey, Calif.
Mr. Atkins is with the U.S. Navy legal department at Monterey.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Barill, of 21961 Gardner, Oak Park,
recently honored their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Aaron Corey, with a party celebrating the Coreys' 20th wedding
anniversary. The couple's friends and relatives joined in the
festivities.

Youngsters Perform
For March of Dimes

Over 65 talented youngsters
participated in the Theater

Workshop's student performance
benefit for the March of Dimes'
recently. The workshop is di-
rected by Sara Strengell.
Of the five individual plays
presented, one will be repeated
this Saturday, in the Francis
Scott Key School auditorium, in
Oak Park.
"Terry on Earth," written by
11 year old Leslie London, the
presentation also will feature
Fannie Aronson's creative dance
group.
In the cast of "Terry," be-
sides the , author, are Barbara
Erenberg, Barbara Ogul, Sylvia
Feldman, Betsy Blumberg, Ros-
lyn Friedlander, Donna Lebo-
