Mr. Bud Schubiner, of the Elliott Travel Service, has left for-
a trip to the Scandinavian Countries. He will visit Oslo, Stockholm,
Helsinki, Copenhagen, stopping a few days in Paris before returrp-
ing home aboard the SS Liberte.
Mrs. Ernie Iczkovitz, of Biltmore Ave., recently entertained
in honor of Mrs. Jack Belkin.
Miss Betty Alter, of 4203 Cortland, recently visited Oakton
Manor Resort on Lake Pewaukee, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Abram, of Detroit, are vacationing at
Nassau, in the Bahama Islands. Mr. Abram won the trip as a
grand prize in a national Chevrolet sales program.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schakne are now residing in their new
home, at 18464 Westland, Southfield Township.
Mr. Marvin Zickerman has returned to Detroit after an extended
stay in Los Angeles, Calif. He will reside at 13325 LaSalle.
Mr. and Mrs. David H. Yaffe, of Northlawn Ave., recently
honored their daughter, Roni-Denise with a sweet sixteen luncheon
at the Statler Hotel. Helping her , to celebrate were Linda Simon,
Ann Siegrist, Lois Barr, Ann Gottlieb, Johanne Ross, Lois Cohen,
Brenda Freedland, Shelly Gantz, Louise Gantz, Zona Herbst, Diane
Jaslow, Phyllis Shaw, Rosalie Berlin, Carole Kalt, Suellen Bloom,
Sharbn Safran, Freya Spector, Marian Morton, Diane Nieman, Flor-
ence Fogel, Nancy Victorson, Elaine Schneyer, Lenore Yaffe and
Ruth Baum. Also attending were Mesdames Morton Berlin, George
Kratchman, Abe Lachover, Joseph Pevos and Mary Baum. Mr. Hy
Pritz entertained.
Mrs. Harry Endel Byron, of Detroit and Beverly Hills, Calif.,
and her grandson, Julius Kahn III, are presently sailing on a
Mediterranean cruise. Following a stay in Israel, they will change
from the Caronia at Lisbon to the Queen Elizabeth and travel to
Madrid and Vienna.
Mr. and Mrs. Jules Doneson, of Ilene Ave., are presently in New
York attending the celebration marking the arrival of the SS Israel
on her maiden voyage to the United States: The Donesons are makirig
a full inspection of the vessel and its facilities to further aid their
tourist clientele at the Israel Tourist Service.

m ony Oct. 16, at Holiday Manor,
Lenore S. Freedman, daughter of
Mrs. Isidore Freedman and the
late Mr. Freedman, was united in
marriage to Dr. Joseph B. Rich,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Reichstein, of Atkinson Ave. The
newlyweds, after honeymooning
in New York City, will reside on
Kendall Ave.

Nov. 9. She will be accom-
panied by Mrs. Dora Bregman.

will be guest speaker on Nov.
16 and Rabbi Solomon H. Grus-
kin will also address the resi-
dents on Nov. 30.
The monthly bridge party
will be held Nov. 17 and will
feature entertainment by Sammy
Wolf,_ Max Sosin and Hal Gor-
don.
Preliminary plans are now
being made for a "Thank You
Party," to be given in honor of
the service group of the Wom-
en's Auxiliary on Nov. 20. This
affair gives recognition to the
many volunteers who assist the
Home in the occupational ther-
apy and recreation programs.
Daily activities of the Home
such as bingo, movies and work
therapy in the hobby shop and
the sheltered workshop will
continue throughout the ,month.
