riet Moorin, daughter of Mrs.
Tillie R. Moorin, of Fairfield
Ave., and the late Mr. Sidney
J. Moorin, to Seymour Baskin,
son of Mrs. Mary Baskin, of
Kentucky Ave., and the late Mr.
Morris Baskin, was recently an-
nounced. In last's week's issue,
The Jewish News erroneously
gave the name of the bride-
elect's late father as Morris. Mr.
Baskin, a graduate of the Wayne
University college of pharmacy,
is affiliated with Rho Pi Phi
professional fraternity. A Jan. 10
wedding' is planned.

assumed duties as associate pro-
fessor of journalism at Michigan
State University. He joins the
faculty of the newly-created col-
lege of communication arts.
Dr. Blumberg, who taught for
five years at the University of
Nebraska, holds a- BA and MA
from the University of Colorado.
He is a Rhodes scholar, and ce-
ceived his doctorate in modern
history at Oxford University.
The author of "One Party
Press?" an account of newspaper
coverage of the 1952 presidential
election, Dr. Blumberg served on
several daily and weekly news-
papers in the Midwest.
He is married and the father of
three daughters.
