Eight Detroit residents a r e
among the 1,000 educators, scien-
tists, government officials and
community leaders serving on
the sponsoring committee for the
dedication of the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine of Yeshiva
University, announces Nathaniel
L. Goldstein, chairman.
The dedication of America's
newest medical school, the first
under Jewish auspices in
America, will take place on Oct.
23, in New York.
Gov. G. Mennen Williams heads
the list of Michigan sponsors, De-
troit sponsors are Theodore Barg-
man, Samuel Brody, Dr. Aaron
Dubnove, Joseph Holtzman, Abe
Kasle, Max Osnos, David Safran
and Maurice H. Zackheim.
Honorary chairmen include
Vice President Richard M. Nixon,
Adlai Stevenson, Eleanor Roose-
velt, Eddie Cantor, Sen. Herbert
H. Lehman, Gov. Ayerell Harri-
man and. Thomas E. Dewey.
Jr. Hadassah. Week Opens
Oct. 23 with House Tea
Junior Hadassah's activities will
begin on Oct. 23 with a tea open-
ing Jr. Hadassah Week at the
Hadassah House, 16240 W. 7 Mile
Rd. at Murray Hill.
The week's activities will in-
clude a beauty- demonstration on
Oct. 25, mixed roller skating on
Oct. 27, sabbath services on Oct.
28 at Adas Shalom Synagogue
and a dated party for members
on Oct. 29.
