Recent Detroit guests at Oakton Manor Resort, on Lake Pewau-
kee, Wis., included: Mr. and Mrs. D. Spector, of Ohio Ave., Mrs. E.
Abrams, of Oakman Ct., Dr. and Mrs. G. R. Aptekar, of Birchcrest
Dr., and Mr. Harry Lintow, of Pasadena Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Zeffertt, of 13233 La Salle, have returned
from an extensive trip to the West Coast. Flying to Seattle, they
were taken by their niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Jacobson, to Vancouver to visit Mr. Zeffertt's brother Harry and
family. They also visited their cousin the Harry Hartmans, of_San
Francisco. Joining their daughter, Mrs. E. G. Havens, her husband
and three sons, they spent a week at Balboa Beach and then went
on to the Havens' home in Arcadia, Cal. More relatives were visited
in Los Angeles and a day was spent in Las Vegas on their return
trip. -
Mr. and Mrs. James I. Ellmann have returned from a six-weeks'
,overseas trip, which included a month's study tour in Israel.
Mr. Harry Passerman, of Richton Ave., left for Israel last week
aboard the SS Jerusalem.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Rosin, of Monica Ave., were passengers
on the SS Jerusalem which left for Israel on Aug. 31. The Rosins
are making an extended trip to Israel and Europe and will return
home in early December.
- Mr. • and Mrs. Sandor Mendelsohn, of Ewald Circle, left for.
Israel with their daughter, Fay Susan, on the SS Jerusalem last
Wednesday. After a five-week stay in Israel, the Mendeisohns will
motor through Italy, Switzerland and France, before returning
home Nov. 14, aboard the SS Liberte.
Mrs. Bertha Klein, of Tyler Ave., left for Israel aboard the SS
Jerusalem to spend the winter with her family in Tel Aviv.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney H. Reisler, of Clements Avenue, have re-
turned from a two-weeks stay at Kiamesha Lake, New York. Dur-
ing their visit, Mr. Reisler won a trophy for placing first in w swim-
ming meet.
Mrs. Lea Selesny and son, Abraham, have left for a prolonged
visit in Israel. They will make their home with their relatives in
Ekron.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Emmer, who with their son, Howard, have
taken up residence on Northfield Blvd., Oak Park, were recently
honored on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary with a
party given at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest M. Solomon, of 19466 Greenfield. •
Mr. and Mrs. David Radin, of Birwood Ave., have returned
from vacationing in Charlevoix, Mich.
