Accents and Names: The Symphonies in Human Relations
Amy Vanderbilt's "Complete Book of Etiquette" (Doubleday),
when published in 1952, inspired our column on "Derekh Eretz," the

We were intigued a short time ago by an article by Miss Van-
derbilt in which she advised those possessing an accent not to try
