Mr. Jerry Greenbaum, of 2075 Oakman Blvd., was a passenger
aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth when it sailed June 29 from New
Yirk. He will tour Epgland, Scotland, Holland, France, Switzer-
land, Italy and Germany, returning aboard the same ship on
Aug. 26.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Schiller, of Flint, Mich., left for Israel last
Wednesday, aboard Sabena Airlines to spend the summer with
their family in Tel Aviv.
Mrs. Dora Ehrlich and Mrs. Rose Cooper have returned to this
city following a tour of Europe and Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ross, of 14915 Petoskey, celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary at a surprise dinner party, given last
Sunday by their ,thildren Dr. and Mrs. S. H. Ross, of Waco, Tex.,
Mr. and Mrs. Morey Skolnick, of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Zaft, of Oak Park. The dinner, held at Club Gay Haven, was at-
tended by the couple's family and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius J. Berkowitz (Ruth Hoffman) and family,
formerly of Monte Vista Ave., are now residing in their new home
at 21921 Gardner, Oak Park, Mich.
Dr. and Mrs. Arnold Kass, of Cherrylawn Ave., are in Montreal,
Canada this week to attend the wedding of Sorel Dickstein, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Moishe Dickstein, of Montreal. They will re-
turn to Detroit to complete arrangements for their son Roy's Bar
Mitzvah on July 16.
Mrs. Joseph H. Gossman and sons, Sanford, Robert and David
recently honored Maj. Joseph H. Gossman, of the U.S. Army Dental
Corps, at an open house at their home on San Juan Dr. Maj. Goss-
man has left for a two year tour of duty at Verdun, France. His
family will join him shortly. --
Miss Muriel Maxine Bensman was recently honored by her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bensman, of 2978 Burlingame, with
a party celebrating her graduation from. Central High School.
Miss Bensman will enter Walsh Institute in Septetmber. Among
the many guests were her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Swid-
ler and daughter; of Milwaukee, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Silverman, of Greenlawn Ave., were re-
cently honored with a surprise party and family dinner given on
their 35th wedding anniversary by their children Mr. and Mrs.
-Isadore Silverman, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Silverman and Raymond
Silverman. The party was held in the home of the Lsadore Silver-
mans, on Stout Ave.

In a double-ring ceremony
solemnized June 26 in the Jade
Room of the Detroit Leland
Hotel, Roberta Feldman, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Feld-
man, of W. Buena Vista • Ave..,
became the bride of Martin Al-
bert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Albert, of Philadelphia, Pa.
Rabbi Moses Lehrman officiated.

The bride's gown of chantilly
lace with tiers of ruffles over
a satin skirt was highlighted by
a neckline of white daisies and
rhinestones. Her cap was a tiny
crown encrusted with pearls and
rhinestones.
Cheryle Pomerance was maid
of honor, and Mrs. Martin Ber-
man, the bridegroom's sister
from Philadelphia, was matron
of honor. Bridesmaids were Bar-
bara Siegel, Shirley Shane, Mar-
lene Risen, Dorene Kaufman
and Florence Hoffman.
Martin Berman, the bride-
groom's brother-in-law, was best
man, while serving as ushers
were Murray Shane, Marcell
Solomon, Manny Shane, Jack
Karp and Bert Risen. Arthur
Brown was the ring bearer, and
Elaine Siegel was flower girl.
Also in the wedding party were
the bride's grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Siegel and Mrs.
Ida Feldman, escorted by her
grandson, Jack Kaufman.
Following dinner and a recep-
tion in the Colonial Room, the
young couple left for a wedding
trip to Grossinger's Resort.
