Gets First Bar-Ilan Degree
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin M. Laik-in have returned from their
visit in Israel and from a visit with -their daughter in England.
Adrienne Goldberg will present a group of her students in a
piarip recital at 3 p.m., Sunday, at Baldwin Recital Hall. The public
is invited to attend.
Thedore Baruch, of Boston Blvd., left for Israel abOard an El
Al Airlines Constellation. After a five-week tour of Israel, Mr.
Baruch will take an extensive trip to Athens, Rome, • Geneva, Lau-
sanne, Naples, Paris and London before/ returning home early in
September.
Mrs. Ida Roshu, formerly of Detroit, now of Kibblitz Barkai,
Israel, arrived from Israel to visit her family in Detroit.
Miss Ruth Brotman, /former Detroit music correspondent,
'singer and tegther, who now resides in Miami Beach, Fla.
Fla., is
currently visiting her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and
Samuel Weisman, of 26355 Humber,. Huntington Woods, Mich.
She will leave later in the week to attend commencement exercises
at Northwestern University from where her nephew, Dr. Asher
Weisman, will graduate.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Ross, of 10030 Corning, Oak Park, Mich.,
celebrated ,their 25th . wedding anniversary last nednesday, at a
family celebration attended by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Glovinsky, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Korn and Miss Rita Ross and their
grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kay, of Parkside. Avenue, returned from a
several weeks' visit in Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Morris, of West Outer Drive, celebrated
their 25th wedding anniversary last Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving I. Miller and family, of Lawrence Avenue,
are now residing at 6262 W. Outer Drive .
Judge and Mrs. James I. Ellmann have left for a two month's
overseas tour, six weeks of their stay to be in Israel.
