Signs of a growing misunder-

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Samuels and daughters, Barbara and
Geraldine, are now residing in their new home at 19818 Lesure.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Abrams, former Detroiters, now of Los
Angeles, Calif., announce the graduation of their son, Steven G.,
this week from the Michigan State University school of veteri-
nary medicine. Relatives and friends are invited to an open
house in his honor on Tuesday, in the home of Mrs. May Lesh-
man, 3291 Burlingame.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard L. Levin, of 4205 Clements, were recent
guests at Oakton Manor Resort, located on the shores of Lake
Fewaukee, Wis.
Mr. Isadore Chernoff, of 18067 Cherrylawn, a pharmacy
sophomore at the Detroit Institute of Technology, has been elected
vet.-at-arms of Chi Sigma Chi fraternity for,.the fall semester.
Mr. Robert Kanter, of 2454 Longfellow, will receive a bachelor
of science degree, with honors, in industrial engineering from
Detroit Institute of Technology on Monday. Mr. Kanter, 49, is
an employee of the UAW-CIO.
Israel Woodrow was honored on his 60th birthday, at a meet-
ing of Arlazaroff Branch of Farband, at the Zionist House, Wed-
nesday evening.
Dr. and Mrs. J. J. Goode, of 18900 Cherrylawn, will hold open
house from 8 to 11:30 p.m., June 14, in honor of the Bar Mitzvah
of their son, Martin Goode. No cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boxman, of 1969 Boston Blvd., are planning
open house from 7 to 10 p.m., June 12, in honor of the graduation
of their son, Donald, from the Kansas City College of Osteopathy
and Surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene B I u m, of 4367 Waverly, will honor
their son, George Lewis, at an open house reception, from 2 to 5
p.m., June 12, celebrating his graduation from the University of
Michigan Medical School.
Mr. and Mrs. Reubin Dach. will be at home to relatives and
friends after 2 p.m., Sunday, at 3030 Lawrence, honoring the grad-
uation of their children Arnoldt and Hilda Winshall and their
future daughter-in-law, Miss Sue Serotte. Arnold will receive the
degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, while Hilda and Sue receive
BA degrees. No cards.
A reception in honor of Miss Dorothy.Davis will be held by her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. Davis, of 3790 Sturtevant, in cele-
bration of her graduation from Michigan State University, from
E, to 11 p.m., June 11.
Mrs. Rose Rubenstein will present Paul Redstone in a piano
recital this evening, at her studio.

dom, drafted by Thomas Jeffer-
son and passed in 1786. It end-
ed the official, privileged posi-

tion of the Anglican church in
Virginia and guaranteed equal
protection to all faiths.

Cancer Fighters Set
Victory Brunch June 22
At Tarn O'Shanter

City of Hope Cancer Fighters
will honor 80 of its members at
a Victory Brunch, to be held at
11:30 a.m., June 22, at Tam
O'Shanter Country Club, an-
nounces Mrs. Andrew Berger,
vice-president of fund-raising.
The program, to celebrate the
group's successful dinner-dance
on May 22, will coincide with
the termination of two years in
office for the present officers,
who will bestow special recogni-
tion on their key workers.
At the dinner-dance it was
announced that the two-year-
old organization,
since its incep-
tion, has raised
842,000 for re-
search at the
Duarte, Calif.
