Attorney A. C. Lappin Observes
65th Birthday on Wednesday
Ruth
Greetings came from many
quarters to community leader
A. C. Lappin on Wednesday, as
By N. E. ARONSTAM, M.D.
• At the crossroads they halted ,betvveen
Judah and Moab,
Ruth and Naomi with tears in their eyes.
"To • thy kinsfolk, hiy daughter, go thou
with my blessing,
Thither in Judah my happiness lies."
And her arm encircled the neck of the
elder.
And sob upon sob broke forth from her
heart.
'My birthplace hat.h ceased to be Moab,
Naomi,
cleave to thee, mother, our ways
must not part.
"For whither thou
I'll follow,
• And wherever thou
I'll restore.:
Widowed, forsooth,
mine now,
Thy God is my God
goest
thy'
footsteps
lodgest my home
but thy people are
whom I ever adore.
"The grave, 0 Naomi, shall find us to-
gether,
Don't. east me aside, I'm no stranger to
thee:
The Lord do so to me and more also
and more,
If death shall ever part thee from me."
Both women embraced and silently wept,
As to Bethlehem they wended their ways;
The dawn found them both on Moabite
field.
And the sun lit up their tear-bathed face.

May Go to Australia
LONDON, (UJA) —Ilse Koch,
the 'Beast of Buchenwald,' who
was sentenced to life-long im-

at Augsburg in 1951, hopes "to
be amnestied one day", reports

at present studying English
grammar, since she hopes to
emigrate to Australia to join
relatives there after her release.

sentenced on charges of cruel-
ties committed against prisoners
at the Buchenwald concantra-
tio- camp. She gained notoriety
among the w a r criminals for
her 'hobby' of producing lamp
