Service Meeting,
To Be Held May 10

Sheila Sedman Wed
o Eli Finkelstein

The annual meeting and elec-
tions of the Jewish Sodial Serv-
ice and Resettlement Service
will be held Tuesday, May 10,
8:15 p.m. at the United Hebrew
Schools Esther Berman Branch,
Schaefer at 7 Mile.
Mrs. T h eodore Bargman,
president of JSSB, and David
Rosin, president of Resettlement
Service will report on activities
of the past year. •
A highlight of the meeting
will be the first Detroit showing
of the film "Family Affair" pro-
duced. by the Family Service
Association of America and the
Mental Health Film Board. It
is a drama- of everyday family
life, the attitudes and feelings
of family members toward each
other and how these may
threaten family stability at a
point of crisis.
The film is a look into pro-
fes,sion.al family counseling as
practiced widely in social work
agericies.
The film story reflects innum-
erable family problems being
brought increasingly to the Jew-
ish Social Service Bureau and
similar social work agencies to-
day. A discussion period led by
Mrs. Bargman will follow the
film.
Mrs. Victor Shifinan - is chair-
man of the committee planning
the annual meeting which - in-
cludes Mesdames Theodore Barg-
man, Samuel J. Greenberg, J.
Shurly Horwitz, Robert J. New. ,.
man, Frank Wetsman and Jay'
Kogan and Charles Levin.
Refreshments and a social
hour will conclude the meeting.
