Marilyn. Jacoby to Wed
Louis Gutter in Fall

MISS MARILYN JACOBY

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jacoby,
of Hubbell Ave., announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Marilyn Rhoda, to Louis Gutter,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gutter,
of Cortland Ave.
Miss Jacoby is a graduate of
the Wayne University college of
education. Mr. Gutter gradu-
ated from the Wayne Law
School, and is affiliated with
Sigma Alpha Mu and Tau Ep-
silon Rho fraternities.
An early autumn wedding is
planned.

Center Mothers' Clubs Enter
Arts and Crafts Competition

From April 17 to 24, members
of the Jewish Community Cen-
ter's Council of Mothers' Clubs
will visit the arts and crafts ex-
hibit at the Martin Kundig Cen-
ter, 2936 Ash, corner of Lawton.
The exhibit is an inter-com-
munity project. Members of
other community houses, includ-
ing the Mothers' Clubs, are in-
vited to submit arts and crafts
items, either modern or old
world, on Apri1.20.
The best work in the opinion
of the judges will be exhibited
at the J. L. Hudson Co.

ARONOFF-GREEN. In a cere-
mony March 26, at the Sheraton
Cadillac Hotel, Noreen Green,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abe
Green, of Roselawn Ave., and
Yale Aronoff, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Aronoff, of War-
rington Dr., exchanged marital
vows. Arrangements of imported
white lilacs banked the altar
where Rabbis A. M. Hershman,
Milton Arm and Moses Lehrman
officiated.
The bride's gown of white silk
taffeta had been worn by her
sister, Mrs. Howard Binkow.
The fitted bodice was styled with
a portrait neckline, appliqued
with lace and studded with
pearls. The full skirt extended
into a cathedral train. Her il-
lusion veil was secured by a
circlet of orange blossoms, and
she carried lilies of the valley
and white roses.
Mrs. Joseph Roth, the bride-
groom's sister, was matron of
honor, and bridesmaids were
Harriet Band and Arlene Green,
the bride's cousins, Rosalind
Moss, the bridegroom's cousin,
Sandra Sussman, Audrey Col-
lins and Beverly Schubiner.
Joseph Roth, the bridegroom's
brother was his best man, while
ushers included Herbert Green
and Ralph Garson, the bride's
cousins, Howard Binkow, her
brother-in-law; Seymour Joffe,
Harold Brode, Sherwin Ross,
Marvin Sellan, Marvin Lieber-
man, of Lansing, Miles Berger,
of Chicago, and Robert Barnett.
Following the dinner and a re-
ception in the Grand Ballroom,
the couple left for a Florida
wedding trip.

Henry Rifkin, of South Bend,
Ind., announce the marriage of
their daughter, Carol, to Charles
I. Mayer, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter J. Mayer, of Whitmore

solemnized last Sunday, at
South Bend. The cOuple is
motoring to Westwood, Calif,
where they plan to take up resi-
dence.

Sherwood Library Sets
Series on Art Films
A series of art films will be

shown by the Sherwood Forest
Branch Library, 7117 West '7
Mile, beginning April 14. The
showings are open to the public
at no charge.
On April 14, "Images Medie-
vales," a survey of life in the
Middle Ages, and "Rueens,"
showing the work of the 17th
century master, will be shown.
Subesequent showings will be
"The Titan," life and works of
Michelangelo, on April 21, and
"The Making of a Mural,"
"Painting Trees" and "Henri
Matisse," all on April 28.

Feinberg, who is here on a spe-

Speaking their vows before an
improvised altar In the Grand
Ballroom of the Statler Hotel
last Sunday were Margery Ann
Cutler, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Casper Charles Cutler, of
Warrington Drive, and Arnold
Goldenhar, son of Mr, and Mrs.
Abraham Goldenhar, of Germ-
any. Dr. Leon Fram officiated.
The new Mrs, Goldenhar wore
a gown of bridal white, the
bodice of which was of chantilly
rosepointe lace over nylon net
and taffeta and was studded
with clusters of seed pearls and
iridescent beads. The bodice
was topped with lace petals and
gave the effect of a choker
collar. Her long sleeves a 1 s
were edged with the lace petals.
The bouffant skirt of mous-
seline de soie over net and taf-
feta fell from the panniered hips
into a brief sweep train. The
pill-box hat, tied under her chin,
was of white satin with a strand
of pearl orange blossoms and
sparkling rhinestones, and held
in place her two-tiered, fingertip
veil. She carried phaelanopsis,
lily of the valley and English
ivy on the heirloom fan of her
grandmother.
Gloria Polozker was maid of
honor, and Mrs. Stanley
Schwartz was her bridesmaid.
Dr. Henry Garfield attended his
brother as best man, and ushers
were Donald Cutler, the bride's
brother, David Leader, Bruce
Polozker and Dr. Leo Temler.
Following a wedding breakfast
and reception, the couple en-
planed for New York where they
left on a South American cruise.
On their return,. they will make
their home in Detroit.

Health," the book is profusely
