Family Seder

Vaad Horabbonim Rules
On Traditions for Holiday

Jewish homes and synagogues
throughout the world will join
next week in the celebration of
Passover, the traditional ob-
servance of the delivery of the
Jewish people from Egypt cen-
turies ago.
Passover will begin at sun-
down Wednesday, April 6,• with
the first seder and will continue
through Yizkor prayers on April
14. The first two days, April 7
and S, will be marked by syna-
.gogue services.
In its annual appeal fore the
strict observance of Passover
according to Jewish law, the
Vaad Horabbonim has issued , a
statement calling for "great
care when buying food for the
holiday."'
Every product, the Vaad
statement says, "must carry a
label marked 'KOSHER for
Passover' with the authorized
signature of a supervising rabbi
or rabbinical body."
All bakeries, grocery stores,
delicatessa,ns and drug stores
are urged to have their
"chometz" sold through a
rabbi not later than 10:40
a.m., Wednesday. The rabbi's
certificate of sale will be dis-
played in the store.

day, while morning services be-
gin at 8:45 a.m., each day. Rabbi

day on. "Freedom Is Willed by
God," and on Friday, on "Dis-
cipline Make.s I. for Freedom."
Cantor Goldring will chant the
service. -
