• The daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Saffir, of 17281
Pontchartrain, Detroit, and the son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Sim Edward Schumann, of Shaker Heights, 0, will participate in
a double wedding ceremony on June 18, in Detroit.
News of the two engagements was -told . at a family dinner
party .at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Saffir; who announced the en-
gagement of their daughter, Maxine Judith, to Mark Paul Schu=
manna
Mr. and Mrs. Schumann alSo announced theeniagement of
their daughter, Merle Stephanie, to Richard Martin Saffir.
Miss Saffir is a senior at Liggett School, and Mr. Schumann is a
graduate of University School and Western Reserve University.
Miss Schumann graduated from Hathaway Brown School, and
now attends Briarcliff Junior College, at Briarcliff Manor, N. Y.
Mr. Saffir, a graduate of Cranbrook School, is presently a senior
at the University of Pennsylvania where he is affiliated with Phi
Lambda Pi fraternity.
