Mrs. Sarah Halperin, of Cleve-
land, 0., will be guest of honor
at a reception, Wednesday, and
a tea, on Thursday, given by
local Pioneer Women, announces
Mrs. Ben Harold, Council vice-
president of organizations.
Mrs. Halperin has just return-
ed from the first international
seminar for Zionist women's or-
ganizations, under sponsorship
of the education department of
the Jewish Agency, in Jerusa-
lem.
A member of PW's national
board, national chairman of
regions and a leading figure in
Cleveland communal affairs,
Mrs. Halperin was the U.S. or-
ganization's only delegate to the
parley.
Her arrival in Detroit will
mark the opening of the De-
troit Council's participation in a
national membership drive. The
opening reception will be at 8:30
p.m., Wednesday, in the Rose
Sittig Cohen Bldg., 13226 Lawton.
The tea will be held the fol-
lowing evening in the home of
Mrs. H. Groskin, 23230 Gardiner,
Oak Park. It is hoped that many
suburban women will join at this
time. Arrangements are being
