David Sislin, chairman, and
Adele Mondry, secretary of Far-
band District Committee Six, of
the Labor Zionist Organization,
announce a District conference,
to be held Feb. 18 to 20 in the
Mayfair Hotel, Akron, 0.
The conference, at which dele-
gates will discuss the organiza-
tion's program for 1955, will be
devoted also to a celebration of
the 25th year of existence of Far-
band Camp, in Chelsea, Mich.,
and the silver jubilee of District
Six.
A leading speaker from New
York will address the sessions,
and a musical program is
planned. A journal, including
histories of Farband Camp and
District Six, will be distributed
to delegates.
Farband representatives will
attend from Detroit. Cleveland,
Akron, Toledo, Cincinnati: Flint,
Grand Rapids, Youngstown,
Dayton and Columbus. Detroit-
ers planning to make the trip
should make reservations with

two alternate courses at 8:30
p. m., each Thursday, at the D.
W. Simons Center, 4000 Tuxedo,
as part of the adult study pro-

A Bible course, featuring read-
ing and examination of the orig-
inal text of the Bible, and a
history class, highlighting events
and personalities in the Jewish

TEL AVIV, (JTA)—A party of
945 immigrants from North Af-
rica arrived in Israel and were
immediately moved out to set-
tlements which had been pre-
pared for them, in line with the
Jewish Agency's new coloniza-
tion pOlicy.
Some 300 were sent to new
homes in the Lachish area, on
the Judean plateau, and the re-
mainder were sent to border
colonies in the north.
