Dr. Benjamin Welling, chair-
man of the Jewish Home for
Aged's recreation and occupa-
tional therapy committee, an-
nounces that Rabbi Morris Adler
will be guest speaker at the
Home on Oct. 27:
Other monthly events will in-
clude the regular birthday par-
ty on Oct. 28, at which enter-
tainment by Mickey Woolf and
his orchestra is planned. The
rest of the month's activities will
include the celebration of the

Rabbi David S. Bakst will preach
at Yom Kippur and Sukkot serv-
ices at which Cantor Harry
Greenfield will officiate and
chant the liturgy. Sukkot will be

Baskin, son of Mrs. Mary Baskin,

Mr. Morris Baskin.
The bride-elect will soon enter
Wayne University's College of
education. Her fiance attends
the University of Michigan Med-
ical School where he is affiliat-
ed with Phi Delta Epsilon fra-
ternity.
A June wedding is planned.
A series of four sessions on
leadership training is being pre-
sented by the Women's Division
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion of Detroit, according to Mrs.
Harry L. Jones, Division presi-
dent.
The sessions, which are to be
held on four successive Mohdays,
Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25, will be in-
formative discussions regarding
our Jewish community and its
services. The meetings will be
held at 9:50 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. at
Davison Jewish - Center.
Isidore Sobeloff and William Av
runin, director and associate di-
rector, - respectively, of Federa-
tion, will make presentations at
the first three sessions where
emphasis will be on "content."
The final session will be devo-
ted to the techniques of bein 4;
a discussion leader.
Mrs. .Jones pointed out that
the values of these sessions are
two-fold. First, the individual
will be better informed and, sec-
ond, the individual will be able
to enrich the program of the
Women's Division in playing a ,
more • intimate • role in such
things as the "Mystery Bus
Tours," "Blue Book Seminars,"
and in the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign organization.
