In honor of their 25th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Hy
Freedman, of Glynn Ct., are sponsoring sabbath services and a
special kiddush at Cong. Beth Tikveh on Saturday morning, Sept.
18. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. The Freedmans
have just returned from their summer home at Whitmore Lake,
Mich.
Miss Anna Oxenhandler of Hazelwood Ave. will sail on Sept. 28
on the Nieuw Amsterdam for a two-month trip abroad. She will
be joined in New York by her sister, Mrs. Bess Marx of Chicago,
who will accompany her to England and then for a flight to Den-
mark, later sailing into northern Germany. In Germany they will
meet their sister and brother-in-law, the Fred Kirschofs of Phoe-
nix, Ariz., who are touring Europe by car. All of them will com-
plete their tour, after traveling by car through the Continent,
with a visit to Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Franklin, of 19180 Lauder, have returned
from a four-week vacation in the East where they visited Phila-
delphia, Washington, Atlantic City and Florida.
Miss Elaine Kartzman, daughter of Mr. and. Mrs Irving Kartz-
man, of Mendota Ave., was recently tendered a surprise birthday
party at Sid's Cafe, on the occasion of her 17th birthday. Allan J.
Roth, her host, gave the party, which was attended by Miss Estelle
Londer and Mr. Sheldon Goldsmith.
Mrs. F. A. Levine, of Carole Ave., recently flew to Israel to
spend the Hig
h Holy Days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chaim
Gunsberg, of Tel Aviv.
Mr. and Mrs. S. Reiner and children, Mark and Lynn, of
Brooklyn, N. Y., have returned home after visiting here for two
weeks with Mrs. Reiner's brother and family. Mr. and Mrs. Max
LaKritz and son, Howard, of Roselawn Ave. While here, they were
entertained at a number of parties in their honor.
Miss Eva Caner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Caner, of
Clements Ave., recently returned on HMS Queen Elizabeth ‘from a
two month tour of Europe. She visited England, Scotland, Hol-
land, -Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Switzerland.
Mrs. Blanche Engelberg and son, Leonard, of Tyler Ave., have
returned from a month's vacation in California.
A dinner and reception in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of Robert
Morton Goldman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Goldman, of 20294
Vaughan, was held last Sunday, at Horowitz Catering. A brunch at
the family horrie followed services at Ahavas Achim Synagogue
the day before.

Gould and Robert Coggan, will
carry out the day's theme on
leadership. Community leaders

as the group's first social of the
