Editor, The Jewish News:
We wish to call the attention
of the Jewish community to the
many Jewish patients—young
and old men and women—at
Wayne County General Hospital,
at Eloise. It would be an act of
great humanitarianism if we
would think and do something
for these less fortunate people at
Eloise.
Other institutions have ward
parties and entertainment, spon-
sored by veterans, fraternal and
church groups. Entertainment
and perhaps a little music would
go a long way in bringing hap-
piness to our people, who cer-
tainly would benefit from it, at
Eloise.
It may be an idea for relatives
and friends of Jewish patientS
to form a group to provide com-
fort and happy times for their
loved ones and for those who
have no friends or visitors .
Let's do more and hear more
on this vital matter.

Business Briefs

Last week three members of
Zedakah Club visited Northville
State Hospital and presented a
tape recorder to the Social Service
Department for professional use.
The club has been interested in
the hospital for more than a
year and a half and is planning
future activities there.
Previously, the club members
have brought a large collection
of costume jewelry for the wom-
en patients and they are cur-
rently working on plans for the
annual Northville State hospi-
tal Fair in September. This is an
all-patient Carnival with com-
munity groups operating the
booths and furnishing small
prizes.
Dr. Philip N. Brown is medical
superintendent of the hospital.
Bruce Danto is psychiatric social
worker at the hospital.
